What is an electric pallet jack?
A powered material-handling truck used to lift and move pallets. Unlike a manual pallet jack, it uses a battery and motor to assist driving and, on many models, lifting. You will also see it called a powered pallet jack, electric pallet truck or walkie pallet jack.
How much does an electric pallet jack weigh?
Raelon's walk-behind models weigh between 265 and 535 lb including the battery, for example 265 lb for the F4, 310 lb for the F4-201 and 535 lb for the EPT25-WA. A lithium battery on the F4 or F4-201 weighs about 15 lb. The full list is in our weight and capacity guide.
How much weight can one carry?
They run from about 3,000 to 6,600 lb, and 3,300 and 4,400 lb are the most common ratings. Raelon's lineup spans 3,300 lb to 6,600 lb, from compact indoor trucks to the all-terrain MN-01. Never exceed the rated load.
How do you charge one?
It depends on the model. On many Raelon trucks the battery stays on the truck and charges through a direct plug-in; others use removable packs you charge externally. Both 24V and 48V setups come with dedicated chargers. For multi-shift work, a spare battery lets you swap a depleted pack for a fresh one with no downtime.
How long does charging take?
Lithium models such as the F4 and F4-201 recharge in about two hours. Lead-acid trucks take longer. Actual time depends on battery size and charger output.
How do you operate one?

How do you turn it on or off?
Most units use a key switch, a PIN pad or a push-button. Turn it off after each shift to protect the battery and secure the truck.
How do you move one with a dead battery?
Many models have a manual release or bypass mode for limited movement. Check your model's operator manual before you need it in an emergency.
How do you change the wheels?
Wheels can usually be swapped with basic tools. Uneven wear, vibration or noise means they need attention. Types and sizing are covered in our wheels guide.
Is it the same as a forklift?
No. A forklift lifts loads to height for stacking; an electric pallet jack moves them horizontally, close to the floor. If you need stacking height, look at a stacker or a forklift instead.

Are they safe to use?
Yes, when used properly. Look for emergency braking, anti-roll-back and predictable speed control, and make sure operators are trained.
What type of battery is best?
Lithium-ion charges faster and suits high-frequency, multi-shift use. Lead-acid works for lighter daily use with a consistent charging routine.
Can you use one outdoors or on uneven ground?
For short distances, yes, but uneven surfaces increase wheel wear and can affect stability while lifting. Gravel and weather both reduce performance. For rough ground, the all-terrain MN-01 is the model built for it.
