The EPT25-WA is a 5,500 lb (2,500 kg) heavy-duty walkie electric pallet jack with a load backrest, a 24V lead-acid battery and a 48 x 27 in fork. Four checks decide whether it fits your heaviest pallets and your building.
1. Your heaviest pallet. The EPT25-WA is rated 2,500 kg (5,500 lb) at a 600 mm (23.6 in) load centre. The truck itself weighs 520 kg (1,146 lb) with the battery in and 360 kg (794 lb) without. Size it to the heaviest loaded pallet you move, keep the load centred on the forks, and plan how you will move the truck itself if it ever has to go on a trailer.
2. Pallet entry. The forks are 48 in long and 27 in wide overall, each fork is about 6 in wide, and the gap between them is about 14 in. On a 48 x 40 in pallet entered from the 48 in side, the forks run about the full pallet depth. From the 40 in side about 8 in of fork tip comes out the far end, so check what is behind the pallet. The forks rise 4.7 in (120 mm), which clears the floor and moves a pallet but is not a stacking height.
3. Aisle width and footprint. Overall length is about 72 in. With the handle upright the truck stands over 51 in tall, and 52 in at the load backrest. Add your longest load to the truck length and compare it with your narrowest aisle, doorway or trailer opening. Send us your aisle width and we will tell you whether this truck turns in it.
4. Battery, weight and shifts. This truck runs on a 24V lead-acid battery. The nameplate weight range for the pack is 147 to 216 kg (324 to 476 lb), so the truck lands at 1,146 lb with the battery in. A 1.6 kW vertical AC traction motor drives the truck, and the reinforced hydraulic unit is made for repeated lifts under heavy loads. Safety features include an anti-rollback brake, an emergency disconnect, automatic speed reduction when the tiller is upright, and belly button protection at the handle. The long tiller keeps the operator clear of the load on tight turns.
